By-law respecting badges for special constables who perform the duties of highway patrolmen for the Ministère des Transports

  1. In this By-law, unless the context indicates otherwise, the following words and expressions mean:
    •  «highway patrolman»: every person appointed a special constable for the Service de l'inspection of the Ministère des Transports in the application of section 80 of the Police Act (R.S.Q., c. P-13);
    • «Commission»: the Commission de police du Québec.

  1. The badges worn by special constables acting as highway patrolmen for the Service de l'inspection of the Ministère des Transports shall be the following: the cap badge and the jacket badge.

  1. The cap badge shall be fixed to the front of the cap by means of 2 screws attached to the reverse side, these screws measuring 3/8 of an inch.

It shall be made of «Gilding 95/5» metal covered with blue glazed enamel and plated gold by means of the electroplating process.

  1. The jacket badge shall be fastened to the coat at chest level by means of a pin and safety clasp.

It shall be made of «Gilding 95/5» metal covered with blue glazed enamel and plated gold by means of the electroplating process.

The badges for this class shall bear a number between 3 001 and 3 200.

  1.   The bas-relief part of the 2 badges shall have a dull finish and be plated gold.

The badges shall be approximately 21/2 inches high.

The cap badge shall be approximately 2 inches wide, whereas the jacket badge shall be approximately 13/4 inches wide.
