The Programme d’aide financière spécifique relatif aux inondations survenues entre le 5 avril et le 16 mai 2017 dans des municipalités du Québec (Special financial assistance program for the flooding that occurred between April 5 and May 16, 2017 in Quebec’s municipalities), replaces the Programme général d’aide financière lors de sinistres réels ou imminents.

The purpose of this program is to provide financial assistance for disaster victims (individuals, businesses, authorities responsible for civic security, local and regional authorities, and inter-municipal entities), that incurred damages or introduced temporary preventive measures during the flooding that occurred between April 5 and May 16, 2017.

InsuranceAn insurable risk for which coverage is generally underwritten is not eligible

Financial assistance for the surplus damage eligible for the program, not covered by insurance, excluding  flood insurance premiums

Insurable risks for which insurance is generally underwritten, such as sewer backup, are not eligible

For businesses

  • Owner of a rental building 
    All rental building owners are eligible, regardless of whether or not it is a primary source of income
